Travelocity - Extreme Poor Customer Service

If I could give negative stars, I certainly would. This has been the absolute worst customer service experience in my life thus far.

I pray I never have to experience this level of poor customer service again in my life. I feel taken advantage of and raped and robbed of my money, trust and patience. After MONTHS of going back and forth with Travelocity and the local car rental about a cancellation and refund, I finally received an email stating that Travelocity would refund my money. However, due to the timeline of receiving this refund which has caused me extreme ongoing financial hardship my bank account on which the original transaction was made the account was closed by Wells Fargo.

Mind you, I am a single mother with 3 children, two that are in college. The reason for the initial booking was because my only vehicle to take my children and myself to and from work and appointments kept breaking down on me. I did not need more stress on behalf of Travelocity and its affilliates. I also went to my bank to share and explain the grievance and was told unfortunately, there was nothing they could do to accept the refund from Travelocity on my behalf and I needed to call Travelocity back and request the transaction to go to a different account or to mail me a paper check, which they have the power to do if they wanted to.

While typing in this complaint, I have bern placed on hold for approx. 50+ minutes and still counting because I told the customer service rep that I refuse to hang up until I speak to a supervisor that can assist me. The last time that I called, the agent I spoke with told me that I needed to call during Asian business hours to speak with a supervisor that could address my concern. What bs!?!

All I want is peaceful resolution and refund of my money to a different account or to be mailed a paper check and confirmation of this matter. Yet it that seems too good to be true. Nonetheless, I will NOT stop until I receive ALL of my money back from Travelocity. Also, just like they "record" the calls, I have decided to begin audio recording my calls with them to begin documentation of their poor customer service.

Please don't take my word for it.

It is documented. I have no reason to make this up.

User's recommendation: Never use Travelocity or Expedia online travel booking service. Complete nightmare!!! I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person to have a horrible experience with them. Save yourself. Don't do it.

Never use an ota in order to try to save a few bucks. As you have disovered, it is not worth it. Always book directly with the brand itself.

I understand what you are experiencing. Something similar is happening to me.

They made a mistake with my itinerary and refuse to reimburse my money.

I am a stressed senior who has lost over $1200.Their strategy is to get customers so aggravated we finally give up. KEEP FIGHTING.

The only feedback that I have is that there is no easy way to speak to a rep. I would like to speak to someone instead of taking 15 mins to talk to a robot. The issue was resolved as soon as I spoke to someone and I was very simple.

I booked a ticket on July 18, 2022. However, the booking was partially made, but some of the charges was taken from my credit card. I need a refund of this money so that I can book a different ticket completely to travel to Florida. Please reverse the payment and do a refund of the partially booking, as it wasn't confirmed.

Terrible customer service and lack of knowledge

June 4/2022 I bought four airline tickets,a day before our trip silver airways canceled our trip , not explaining nothing.

I have been trying to get my refund of $ 355.00 with Travelocity ,every single time I called is a different explanation:silver airways dont want to refund ,delta airline don want to refund ,etc,etc

Im so disappointed and disgusted with Travelocity this is the most frustrating experience I ever had

I feel like they took my money canceled my trips and now nobody is responsible for anything

I need my money back as soon as possible

Please dont be another company who SCAM people, we already have too many

I made a reservation that was confirmed having all inclusive TWICE by 2 different agents. I arrived to The Resort, what a surprised!! Nothing was inclusive. I was charged All inclusive price and nothing was inclusive. The agent who picked up the call was EXTREMELY RUDE AND CONDESCENDED. Playing games that they will investigate and hang up the phone, to avoid the conversation.. BAD SERVICE RUDE AGENT User's recommendation: Avoid this site as much as you can.

Unable to to with anything but a machine. It keeps asking for my 10-12 digit reservation number but the information I was given was only eight digits. And its impossible to talk with anyone or anything with a pulse

To apply credit to a new itinerary from a flight that was canceled because of Covid, the website failed to work. So I used the chat window on the customer support page. It took them one hour and 15 minutes to give me the fare difference and three hours to apply the credit and book the new itinerary. Just to phone me to get my credit card information, it took them 35 minutes.

I have not received any assistance re my ticket refund. Or even a confirmation with itinerary for a ticket that was authorized from my credit card. I'm very disappointed and disgruntled with Travelocity right now. At this point I need this refund urgently to secure my round-trip. Please see what you can do to assist urgently.

The hotel I was registered in, La Quinta, was absolutely filthy and I couldn't stay there. I later checked into the Baymont by Wyndham and the room had a broken shower and cracked light and something splashed on the wall and a picture. The manager wasn't available and the staff couldn't fix the problems. The next day I was transferred to another room and was not to be charged for that night. Customer service understood the issues and I was given the refund in just a few days.

My name is Kirk Wiggins

On March 27th2022 I was trying to book a two week trip to Dublin Ireland from June 26th 2022 until July 9th 2022.

The first time I tried to book this trip it was for $6588.74 I entered my debt card info just to find out that three of these charges with thought. Travelocity returned $4463.00 back to my account each time but sent $2125.74 to Iberia Airlines each time for a total of $6377.22 after seeing I called in and talked to a customer service rep to get the number for this company. I then called the company and was told that they will hold my money foe thirty days before returning my money.

I ended up filling a dispute with my bank in order to get back this money but this out a seven day hold on that money. To go back just a little bit when talking to this rep he told me this was because of my bank that all of the charges were not going thought so I checked with my bank just to find out there was no hold on my account as the bank said if there was the charges for the airlines would not have went thought.

So on March 29th 2022 I when down to my bank in order to make sure all charges would go thought and tried to rebook this trip again this time to Shannon Ireland with different Hotel and rental car for a total of $4955.83 and again $2167.09 went to the airlines and $2788.74 to Travelocity again the $2788.74 came back to the bank account but the money from the airlines did not this happened two times so now another $5577.48 has been paid out by Travelocity to airlines of my money and I still do notmhave a trip to go on.

I have called to the customer care reps just to be told there was nothing they could help me with and to go to a different company and book this trip, I asked the supervisor to send this to the office of the president for Travelocity so that I could talk to someone that might be able to book this trip so Please have some one call me about this treatment

Flight

There was a fire in my resort. My family could have been killed. I was moved via national guard from Cozumel to Rivera Maya. Split up rooms from my family of 6. (Three small kids) I was told flights could not get switched to fly from new site. All of my transfers are not being honored which were included in my package. Not to mention we lost 1 1/2 days of our all inclusive vacation being moved around. My kids are traumatized. You would think you would try to alleviate some of the distress and change flights or try to make arrangements to help customers

You can't use American laws in Mexico. I know what you are tyring to do. It won't work.

If your children are traumatized it is because you have set a poor example for them. Be sure not to include them in your fussing and fretting as you have outlined here.

Use the opportunity to explain that you can't control everything and very little in this life turns out perfectly.

Personally, I hate vacation for a number of reasons, unpleasant surprises being one of them. They come in many shapes and sizes.

Fraudulent practices

I booked a United flight via Travelocity. United changed the flight significantly (from non-stop to connecting flight with short layover) and rather than inform me of the change and give me the opportunity to reject or accept, Travelocity accepted it on my behalf.

They now will not issue a refund or waive fees for changing the flight. The layover is 40 mins - no way Ill make it with my kids in tow. Travelocity is also lying about the procedure, not taking responsibility even though the email they sent me literally says We accepted the change on your behalf. They lie in the middle of chat sessions.

Its crazy-making. One agent even suggested that by opening the email, I had accepted the flight!

Every time I connect with Travelocity the new agent has no knowledge of the previous conversations. The company hopes to wear down customers by attrition.

Failed to provide service

Good morning,

I have been trying to work with the Travelocity customer service agents for 3 months about a refund. I am getting nowhere.

I have tried to call numerous phone numbers listed online and they all ring to the same agents. I cannot get a hold of anyone at a corporate level.

I need someone to help me with my situation.

I booked a service through travelocity and the vendor did not provide service (my reservation was at 3PM, they showed up to the airport at 9AM and marked me a no-show). It is a small amount of money but the travelocity customer service is awful.

Please help me find who I need to speak with.
