Travelocity - Now charges a booking fee for airline tickets

Details
purchased two airline tickets had to paid $41.00 booking fee. Do not purchase travel here go to one of the other sites or purchase your tickets directly from the airlines. Called and wrote Consumer Service no help was told that was their policy now. they used to state on their website that they charged no additional fees and guaranteed the lowest fare, well that is far from true now. Please spread the word to stay away from their website, they service is very poor to start with, you get much better service from other travel sites. Do not pay their booking fee.

Travelocity - Confirmed Reservation - No Cars Available

On December 30, 2014, we called Travelocity to secure a compact car for travel in Nicaragua. We informed the Travelocity representative that we needed a compact car because my spouse had broken her foot and the car was needed as our prior plans included a fair amount of walking. The Travelocity representative e-mailed us a confirmation that our reservation was accepted and approved. It specified the time/date of rental, type of car, related fees, and other information. It included a confirmation number from Travelocity and from Payless Auto Rental. We then drove 1.5 hours ($60 taxi ride) from Granada to Managua. When we arrived at the Managua International Airport, the Payless Auto Rental representative said that there wasn't any reservation and that no cars were available. The Payless Auto Rental supervisor indicated that it was a Travelocity issue. When we contacted Travelocity, they contacted Payless Auto Rental and received the same response. The Tracelocity representative initially tried to cover up the issue by stating that their confirmation e-mail included in big red letters some disclosure that auto rentals within 24 hours of pickup were subject to availability. This couldn't be further from the truth. There is no conditional language on the confirmation whatsover. When I challenged him on this assertion (which was patently false), he said he was transferring me to a supervisor and then hung up. I will never book through Travelocity again as they are a worthless middlemen and don't honor their advertised travel guarantees.

Travelocity - Hotel Booking Review from New York, New York

Booked a hotel, thru Travelocity, in Rome, for May 10-14th. Problem#1: it said that a Continental Breakfast is included-upon arrival, a hotel stuff informed us that they don't serve any sort of breakfast. Problem#2: We were charged by Travelocity $663.64, and the hotel gave us a receipt for €374.40; since when $1=€1.77?! I think, at some point the European or American government agencies should look into that scam. Calling 10 times, since June, to Travelocity Customer service came out fruitless. Seems like they are using outsourcing answering service that doesn't resolve or decide anything: just simply taking your complaint and swearing that they, personally would follow up on my issue, at no avail. Better to use another travel site who can stand by what they sell, and can actually resolve customers complains.

#1, did your confirmation STATE cont. break was included?

Do you know that if you book a hotel room w one of these sites, the hotel will likely put you into the worst room they have. period.

#2, unless you pre-pay your hotel, you do not know what you will actually be charged when you arrive as the exchange rate fluctuates daily. There is also a city tax that is never included in Italy and your original quote likely didn't include VAT. VAT is high in other countries.

What is funny is that no American traveler actually READS the fine print.

It likely wasn't a scam, you didn't read the conditions. Why not support your local economy and book your next vaca w a travel agent goofy. You want service?

Use a travel agent. This is what you get for dealing w online booking engines

Travelocity - Terrible Customer Service

I have been disconnected, put on hold and SHUFFLED round for five hours on the phone with Travelocity today. The airlines changed a flight and the new schedule meant I would not make a connection. After a full day of being ignored, put on hold and lied to- I am completely FED UP. Only one agent called me back, and I spoke to 6 people, including a supervisor. The issue was finally resolved, but it took a full day of effort. This is completely unsatisfactory and I will not use this service again. As I type, I am on hold waiting to talk to some one at Travelocity to issue a complaint- an exercise in futility.

Travelocity - Awful Customer Support

Booked a hotel/air package online and only needed a hotel for one night. They booked my flight and hotel for 1 night. Tried correcting it and they said Jet Blue charges $150 for a flight change. Called Jet Blue to check my options, they looked up my ticket and said the charge would be $100. Called Travelocity and asked to speak to a manager so we could come to a resolution. The manager, Jessa, was extremely rude and condescending, interrupting when I spoke. I asked to speak to another manager as I would like to cancel my trip, and I've been on hold for almost 20 minutes. Will never book with Travelocity again!!!!

Booked a flight and received two confirmation emails and it showed on My Trips section of my account but somehow was deleted by a dropped call between myself and Travelocity

Booked a flight through telephone support but after receiving two confirmation emails and an acknowledgement under My Trips it was determined that it was erased as I was disconnected between North America and India. I spoke to a supervisor but they tried to re-book the flight but it was $100 higher in price but they would not cover the cost for their mistake. In addition, the supervisor was arrogant and unhelpful after spending nearly two hours booking the flight and trying to recover the lost flight. Lastly, the supervisor had me email the itinerary back to her and she was unable to keep a customer that has been with them for nearly a decade.

Fraud booked Cruise ripped me off Travelocity don't trust this company

I spent a hour and a half with a Travelocity Travel Agent booking a Royal Suite Room , I had the travel agent send me a guarantee letter that what I payed for was the Royal suite Room. Booked payed they didn't deliver the suite. A supervisor agreed that we should get that room and sent a letter to her higher ups to approve the extra cost on there end because Travelocity sold me a Royal Suite Room they denied the claim said it was a website error. It took weeks to get my money back I will never book with the company. Complete dishonesty.
