Travelocity

Yesterday I made for my family reservations for a roundtrip flight to Madrid out of JFK, and after few hours they cancelled my trip, so I called and they changed the return day to a day earlier. After a few hours I called to ask about the trip, and they told me that they have to change to higher price. I agreed to $125.00 dollar price increase, and they confirmed my ticket. After few hours they called me again to inform me that the price will be much higher if I want to fly. They mislead people, and try to sell out tickets according who is going to pay more. Do not use this company!!!

Travelocity price guarantee ripoff

Travelocity does not honor reduced prices found on their own website. I booked with them for flight and hotel to Nassau. They guarantee a refund if you find a lower price. I found a lower price of $395.00 on their website and they will not honor it. Their rules for the guarantee state they do not accept screen shots as proof of a lower price then after a month has passed they ask for a screen shot which by that time is impossible to get. I went back and forth with their non existant customer service dept to try and resolve the problem. They at the time of booking do not give you a way to prove they showed a lower price.

We started filling out the info at one price and when it came to the last page of info (your total cost) it was totally different ($50 higher - not including fees). I thought, what a ripoff, jacking the price in the middle of the process.

It was still less than it had been weeks prior so I went ahead and completed the transaction (knowing that I had the price guarantee, but still miffed about the change). Turns out the price went back down to the original quote within the hour. So I filled out the guarantee form - a month ago.

Still no refund or communication. Not real happy.....

Travelocity - Did not honor e-ticketed reservation

I had booked two reservations through travelocity. One for travel from Rome to Palermo and a return from Catania to Rome. I had recieved a email back from travelocity stating Thank you:Reservation Confirmation... The email sated that it was an eticket, so no paper ticket would be sent. In addition to flight information it gavew me a boarding pass ..reference code for online or airport checkin. A day later, I recieved another email asking me to contact tTravelocity. When I spoke to their agent located in India, he explained to me that they had trouble printing tickets from the Airline Carrier Blue Panorama Air, and that I should consider the reservations cancelled. They could book me on a different airline that would cost about $200 more. I felt that Travelocity should pay the differance in flight costs as I has an eticket and a letter of confirmation. The Agent explained that it was not an eticket even though it said so. I asked to speak to the supervisor and got the same story. I then asked to speak to a US agent. I eventually spoke to an agent in Pennsylvania who likewise told me that Travelocity would do nothing for me and I had no reservations... I receives no satisfactory explaination as to why 1. They sent a confirmation. 2. The confirmnation said it was an eticket 3. They would offer tickets on their website that they in fact could not honor!!! I was on the phone with travelocity for longer then the flight would have taken... (they keep putting you on hold and transfer calls) and they proved themselves to be disreputable. So long Sicily, Goodbye travelocity... I will never use them again..

Travelocity gives a run around for reimbursing me

I cancelled a flight reservations within 24 hrs and even called them about it to make sure it was cancelled. They reassured me it was cancelled and never charged. I sat on the phone waiting an hour to talk to an english speaking person. They told me that the charge will not be on my credit card. Gee I see the $344.50 charge on my credit card which they are telling me is not on there, oh and then they say oh we had a computer glitched. I again asked to speak to a manager, and of course no such thing. Til this day I am fighting this charge.

Travelocity - No refund with hundred excuses

I reserved a hotel via Travelocity and paid $170.77. Checking out of the hotel, I was charged again with the same amount of money. I requested to cancel one of the payment, but they never give me a refund. Judging from my experience, this is how they call their "customer service". - Make sure not to refund, with whatever a reason they can provide. - Organize their customers' files to mess up all the cases. - Confuse their customer with the information like who's the manager and who's the supervisor. - There's no such thing as an individual case. Find a category their customer's mail belongs to, and make the same response whatever the occasion. - Make their customers get sick of complaining, so as to never use Travelocity again.

Travelocity Bait and Switch

I was looking to book a vacation for my family and I so I started searching Travel Agencies. Afetr a while I went to Travelocities web site and entered the dates I wanted to travel anytime in June or July. I entered the length of cruise I wanted 7-10 days and the number, ages of people I would be traveling with, and the area I'd like to cruise (Carribean). The search returned a page that showed all the information I entered and two choices. One choice was around 800 dollars and the other was around 450 on a different ship. I was excited by the opportunity to book an affordable cruise so I called immediately to book the 450 dollar cruise to find that the price was not available on the dates I wanted to travel and that my price was to be around 1500 dollars a person. I will never book with Travelocity ever again.

Beware of Travelocity.com BAIT & SWITCH. We purchased plane tickets today from Hotwire.com a little under $200 cheaper than Travelocity.com.

Travelocity would raise their price at the last second, before you could complete the transaction. After clearing our cache and trying it again (and even using another computer), Travelocity.com would jack up the price at the last minute. They stated that the price was changed by the airline at the last second, but each time we tried to book the flight, we would get the bait price, and then it would switch to the higher price at the last second. I did some seaching on Google.com and found that this is a common issue being reported my many people lately.

Hotwire.com beat the pants off both the bait & switch prices of Travelocity.com. Never using Travelocity again.

I have spent the last three days trying to book two seperate flights on this site. Each time while confirming a nd making payment, there has been problems.

These problems have led to disconnect and reentering the same exact information only to find the rates are increased by a minimum of $30.

I spoke with representatives who said they were having temporary credit card issues, but no one has complained as to the increase of fees. :(

Travelocity - Wrong itineary

After booking a cruise with Travelocity I was looking to book a shore excursion, I went to NCL's web site to see what there prices were versus going with someone else, I discovered that the itinerary that NCL had and what Travelocity had were different. Theres had the ship leaving Honolulu a hour later than NCL. Travelocity also showed that we were in Maui overnight when actually it was a sea day, one less day in Maui than we had planned on. After contacting Travelocity about the error, there only response was that it was all NCL's fault. I am sorry but if you are in the business of selling vacations it is their responsibilty to supply the correct information to the customer. They have the same ability as everyone else to check NCL's website Will never use Travelocity again Don

Travelocity...use Orbitz or Expedia

They changed my flight and separated my girlfriend and I onto 2 different flights. I asked to not receive email notifications of flight changes and they said this could not happen. I asked if they could send email notifications to a different email and that could not happen either. Everytime something needs to be looked up on their system it takes 2-3 minutes. Do not use this service. It is terrible!!! There is constant changes to the flight itineraries and then it takes an hour for customer service to fix them. The service is fine if the airlines make no changes, but if you need to speak to their customer service based in India, Good luck!!

Travelocity makes a LOT of errors

The people there cannot do anything right. 2 incidents: 1) I booked a motel room thru travelocity on memorial day weekend and when I got to the motel...the owner said travelocity made a miskate to use a lower rate that is usable only valid during off peak seasons and the motel was not enrolled in travelocity's traditional program (when people prepay on travelocity, they take their cut then remits the diff to the hotel). It cause a big mess...the owner wanted me to pay again at the motel but I told them I already pd travelocity...so I had to spent time calling travelocity to straigten it out. 2)I booked a cruise with them and called to change the credit card where the final pmt hit..they said ok done. The pmt came of the orginal card. I called, they said there's no record of change and the final pmt hit on the orignal card by auto pay. They can't even do a simple thing like that right. I HIGHLY don't recommend Travelocity.

:( First of all I made a reservation with travelocity and its been an on going nightmare... Booked the trip and was double charged..after they took the credit card we were double charged,, told us we had no returning flight and to contact them 24 hours later,, finally after a 4 hour call back of being hung up on, not good English, and speaking to 2 supervisors, doing a 4 way call with my banker to reverse the charges, its still not a completed flight, so now we have booked rooms, no outgoing flight and who knows what else...

They don't speak fluent english, hang up on you, put you on hold, take your money without completing the reservation, call you back maybe, you have to demand a supervisor, say they will call you back and some of them don't...Definitely a bad company to deal with.. Between both of us we have spent 6 hours talking to them and is still not done....

Hotels know if you booked through Travelocity or Expedia

We booked our vacation through Travelocity and everything went fine. We had a bit of a snag and wanted to upgrade our room. I talked to my sister who has worked in 4 & 5 star hotels for 15+ years and said I was surprised that the staff was so nice and accomodating. She surprised me by saying that the hotel staff know how you've booked your room. People who book through travel sites are deemed to be cheap and are given sub-standard service. They aren't treated badyly, but if multiple rooms request something of the staff the Travelocity/Expedia/Orbitz customer will be seen last. I was shocked. We all want to save money on airfares and hotels, that doesn't mean we're going to stiff the bellboys and housekeepers.

We've booked two vacations through Travelocity. The first to Santa Fe was last minute (3 weeks advance notice). Our hotel was beautiful, but for several days we were the only guests in a building where the rooms had window AC units. A walk around the resort revealed another building with similar rooms and central air. Nearly all of those rooms appeared to be occupied. At the time, I attributed this to booking on short notice.

This month we went to Washington, DC. I had made the reservation 5-1/2 months in advance. I chose the hotel for its views of Rock Creek Park. Our room was on the second floor overlooking a rooftop, ventilation equipment, etc. I asked the front desk about changing rooms or even upgrading. I was told the hotel was fully booked (likely to be true for Washington in spring.)

If the deals offered by Travelocity mean that you get a lesser-quality room, I'd prefer to know that up front, so I could consider savings versus quality.

I will also add that airlines know when you are using travel sites. I use to be a ticket agent and gate agent.

I have seen situations where a customer had to call the travel site because the computer did not recognize their reservation. The ticket agent refused to help because they were not sure if the person was trying to scam them. Well needless to say the customer spent almost an hour trying to fix the error with this travel site and missed the flight. They were rebooked on the next flight but missed the concert that night.

I personaly delt with customers that said that they were treated diferent at hotels after using a travel site instead of a Travel agent.

The travel site I've seen customer having the most problems is with PL. Funny commercials but not funny when a customer has to pay for their mistakes.

I booked a vacation pkg for 4 requesting one room. got to hotel and found our room to be the size of a closet with a double bed and we were told there were no rooms.

unable to even get a rollaway (fire hazard). Called the hotel and was told over phone there were double rooms available. But in person hotel said they did not offer a double to the travelocity bookers. they ended up, after much complaining,"finding" a suite with a king and fold out couch.

for extra money.

Spent about an hour on the phone during all of this with travelocity, and was passed around and hung up on several times. I will never use them again.

I also work in a hotel and I must say that is the first I have ever heard of "web bookers" being treated that way. If anything we are more wanting to make a good impression on you.

Web sites have a comment area and when a guest is unhappy with the service the world will know. We don't work on commision so why would we be upset if you got a good deal? And f.y.i.

The hotels sell rooms to the web sites cheap. The price you pay them is more then we sold it for in the first place.

Travelocity - Customer service beyond bad.

Booked a non-smoking room and paid in advance through Travelocity. On check-in received a really stinky smoking room, was told the room was not prepaid and my wife's asthma made her very sick and ruined our weekend. Hotel would not provide us with a non-smoking room and spent over three hours on hold and speaking to customer service workers in India and "supervisors" from Travelocity who were idiots and totally useless. Told that dispite reservation stating that a non-smoking room was reserved that it was not guaranteed. There is no way I would have reserved a smoking room with my wife's health problems. Beware, never book a hotel room through Travelocity if you want to be sure that you never receive a smoking room when staying in a hotel. Travelocity is a fraud and offers no guarantees.

Yes, the "cheap travel" websites are a gamble. It's like going to a hotel directly and asking for the "run of the house" lowest rack rate: a gamble.

But if you ask nicely, and be sincere and persistent, more than likely you will be given better service. And again, that's no guarantee.

That is the down side of traveling on the cheap. But look on the bright side, you are not sleeping on a park bench.

Travelocity fail to tell us our flight was cancelled

we were in ft lauderdale and leaving for home when we got to the airport we found out our flight had been cancelled three days after we had made the reservations. take note we made those reservations approx. four months earlier. upon getting the good news from the airline i called travelocity to find out what they were going to do about this. after approx. one hour on the phone going back and fourth they produced someone who had said they had notified us by phone and spoke to my wife. the only phone number they had was my wifes cell number and i'm pretty sure she would have remembered talking to them about our flight being canceled. bottom line is they would not put us on another flight that night or pay for our hotel room my advise is do not book with travelocity

Travelocity people are frauds, they offer things that they do not own up to, and kept me on hold for over an hour, they ripped me off and messed up my rip. So, guys, try to use other sites if you can before you get ripped off by these thieves. Me and my friends went to Vegas, and our package included show tickets to the Mistere at the Treasure Island which we never saw. They made us look ***, going back and forth with the ticket booth. only to find that there was nothing. They are frauds, please stay away. Im warning you
