Travelocity Sucks

So I tried to book a flight on travelocity. It said It had trouble processing my credit card. I checked online my funds were sufficient. I also called up my bank and my funds were sufficient. My bank ensured me it was nothing on their end. But they noticed travelocity charged my account 4 times for a $7 dollar fee, which should only be charged once. So I decide to call Travelocity. They said it would be another $25 dollar charge to book the trip over the phone. I will never use travelocity again. They are just terrible. Travelocity Sucks. Travelocity Booking Sucks. Travelocity is terrible.

Reserved a hotel through Travelocity 4 months in advance and few days after reservation, found out the hotel was too far from the event and airport, so we tried to cancell reservation (still 4 monnths in advanced), but would soon find out the fee would exceed $400+. Travelocity is a ripoff and should be brought to justice for fruad. This company has to be the BIGGEST SCAM known.

Thank You Travelocity, just returned from Arizona and everything was just great aand went off without a hitch. Of course I booked everything myself, my last trip to Mexico which you did was totally screwed up and you did squat to fix it.

I did not use your site to explore my trip since everytime someone looks at it, it counts as a hit and you use for advertisers to get income. So to all readers use any other site to info and book yourself. This trip was great since I actually spoke to someone prior to book who was in the United States and knew where Sedona was.

Instead of someone named BILL who was sitting in room in Calcutta. With this lousy economy I hope travelocity joins the ranks of going out of business, it only put people from India out of work and get rid of a bad business.

Travelocity Terrible Customer Service

I tried canceling a reservation and ran into problems using the travelocity web site - my trip id was not showing up. So I tried calling and I was on hold for almost an hour. I couldn't stay on hold so I had to call back the next day. When I finally got through, I was told that I called less than 24 hours prior to my reservation so they can't cancel. When I told them that it was Travelocity's fault, they told me they couldn't do anything because it was the hotel's policy not to refund. Terrible customer service. Never again. Stay away.

Travelocity = Scam

I got a promotional email from Travelocity with a $100 coupon if I book a four nights hotel stay. Good deal? Not in Travelocity Universe! While booking there was no box provided for a promotional code to enter so I called their Indian customer service, and spent an hour and a half on the phone, trying to explain what I'm trying to do, the guy was putting me on hold every two minutes for 15 minutes, finally he agreed, they have a technical problem on the site, which prevents people entering promotional codes. Nice? It gets better! When I asked him to book it for me, and seating on hold for another 30 minutes, he came back to me saying: this code is invalid. I read him the entire email including the disclaimer, and then he said, I need to print it out and fax it to him, and he'll get back to me in couple of days! Why fax? Because they don't deal with emails! These are his words! I couldn't take it any longer, I booked this hotel on Hotels.com and guess what? It was cheaper! I just don't understand how a company with such attitude towards customers can stay in business?

How Travelocity and Best Western hotels cheats you

I booked a nights stay with Travelocity at Best Western Hotel. The listed price was $95 and when I confirmed the booking it said taxes are applicable and brought the charges to $114. When i got to the hotel they charged me Taxes all over again and i ended up paying $133. The best part is that in the reservation confirmation came from Best Western and clearly statedReservation Amount - $114Estimated Taxes - -TOTAL STAY - $114 So when you book at Best western or anyother hotel for that matter BE careful , as we all know it Travelocity isnt the best way to book a hotel

Travelocity = The only thing with velocity is your cash heading out

Recently, I had occasion to trust Travelocity to book a business trip (because the business is getting cheaper all the time). I got an e-mail with confirmation and the rates for cancellation penalties (which were more than 2/3 of the ticket price!) You guessed it - plans changed last minute and I had to cancel. Forget any refund at all. You can't communicate with their help desk. Several carbon-based robots all allegedly named "Alex" or "Jim" kept reciting that no refunds were possible at all despite their stated policy and the email which they sent. It took my credit card company three weeks just to get part of the credit their documentation said I was due back - and they won't give documentation so I can't file for reimbursement from my company. Apparently the way the airlines and other companies have "outsourced" is a script in which the word "cancel" and "refund" do not appear at all. Shame.

Don't use Travelocity

I placed reservations for 2 nights at a hotel with Travelocity. The amount I was charged on my credit card did not match the confirmation price nor the receipt from the hotel (the difference was $52.42). When I contacted Travelocity the service rep tried to tell me that the price of the hotel changed. I informed him that I had a receipt for the original agreed amount and that was all I agreed to pay. He told me "I'm so sorry, I will send you a $50 voucher for a future trip." I told him that I would not accept that and that I would file complaints with the hotel, my credit card company and with his supervisor (like that would do me any good). I only agreed to the original price provided my Travelocity and the hotel. He then tried to tell me that he would issue the refund, but go ahead and pay the charged amount. It would take about 40 days to process. I then informed him that they charged my credit card immediately, and they would credit my credit card immediately. He then said he would process the credit and it would take 10-14 days to process. After hanging up with him, I contacted the hotel. They did not have any additional charges, and said my original price was what they charged. I also contacted my credit card company to make them aware of the situation. I plan to check back in 7 days to see if a credit has been issued, and if not, I will file a dispute. Travelocity is an unethical company and will try to scam their customers. The way they conducted business with me was deceitful and they tried to take more money from me than what was agreed upon. That is stealing. I would suggest using their website for searching for a hotel, then call the hotel directly. I will never use Travelocity again.

Travelocity is a waste of time and money

During a trip to Fredonia, New York to attend a SUNY summer program, I needed to book a hotel room. I searched a hotel through Travelocity. I filled out the required forms, booked the room, and then decided to get to the hotel a day earlier. I tried to call customer service, but while I was on hold, I went back through the internet to attempt to change the hotel reservation. Apparently, the first reservation was never canceled. Upon check out, the hotel billed me for not canceling the first reservation and for the room I did use. As a result, I will never use Travelocity again. I was double billed for a hotel room, received a smoking room, and was given the same answer by every customer service agent I spoke to at Travelocity. "Sorry, for the inconvenience, please accept a voucher for a future trip. We value you as a customer." I should have searched for hotels, and called the hotel directly. I would have saved money, gotten the room I wanted, and been happy.

Travelocity - Won't refund as they said they would

We booked an airfare and hotel trip with Travelocityl; the hotel couldn't provide the non smoking rooms NOR the king size beds on our arrival. We called and they said we could stay the nite, they would credit us for that nite as well as the rest of the hotel portion of the trip, but it would take 2 billing cycles. We found our own hotel for the trip, but on our return they now deny they said they would credit us for the one nite, and they won't credit us for the rest of the trip either. 6 phone calls to thier VIP dept. has done nothing but take up time. Very poor customer service, no USA English customer service help, if you need help from them on your trip, you won't get it. Now we'll have to try legal measures, more pain.... Use another service, these guys don't care about you.

Travel bumblers: Travelocity

Travelocity booked a seat to China on KAL that was already reserved, condeming my wife to a middle seat overnight across the ocean. The night before, Travelocity booked her for two nights into the LAX Radisson when she only needed one night. An argument ensued when the hotel insisted on full payment. When I asked Travelocity to explain what happened, I got arrogance and a "so what?" attitude. The Travelocity rep seemed amused. "Customer Care" promises a three hour answer--it's really a copy of your e-mail returned to you. Travelocity: Lots of mistakes and a bad attitude.

Use Travelocity Only To Research Best Prices

My wife and I booked ten day motel accomodations through Travelocity with confirmed rates at 4 hotels. Several weeks prior to travelling we changed our route slightly and needed to cancel a one night reservation. We called Travelocity and were informed that we would not be able to cancel that one night and would be charged the $85.00 one night charge. During our trip we inquired of another hotel in that chain why we could'nt cancel without charge. They stated that had we booked directly through them that it would have been no problem to cancel. According to the management our problem was that we booked through Travelocity. I learned a valuable lesson. Now I only use Travelocity to research rates but now book directly through the hotel/motels websites.

Travelocity

I booked a business trip through Travelocity that I had to postpone. I knew there would be steep penalties to make changes as I've done this before. This time I was told they would send a credit voucher and I would be charged $24.99 for the shipping cost (it came to me via US mail with a regular postage stamp) about 1 week later. The original price of my ticket was $687, but after Travelocity deducted their fees, the shipping cost, the presumed American Airline change fees, etc. my credit voucher totaled $187. Three days later I was ready to book a new flight. I called Travelocity. After the required 1 hour of talking to one department, holding, being transferred, holding some more, they finally had my new itinerary set up but then told me I had to overnight the voucher to them before they can finalize my flight (and the fare wouldn't be guaranteed until that was done). I asked why they would charge me to send the voucher to me then make me pay another $20 to overnight the voucher back to them. They only responded that they must have the voucher in hand in order to process my flight. I asked for any other options and was told that I can go tot eh AA counter at my local airport and have them process my flight. After driving 40 minutes to the airport, paying $18 to park, and standing in line for close to two hours to speak with the AA representative, I gave her my flight details and she processed my itinerary. I then handed her the voucher, since Travelocity made it clear I had to render it to them, and she asked me what I wanted her to do with it. I explained I was told to hand it over so she took it and gave me my new itinerary. A few days later I was reconciling my business credit card on line when I saw the charge from American Airlines for the full amount of the ticket price - my $187 credit was not applied. So I called Travelocity to explain what happened. They called AA and they were initially unable to locate the voucher and told me that my credit couldn't be applied until they had the voucher. After approximately 2 hours and several reps/supervisors, the voucher was finally located and I was told they will credit my card $187. So, after approximately 8 hours total between phone calls, driving, standing in line - they were able to immediately apply me credit with the push of a button. I asked why they would think it necessary to put their customers through such a hassle and why, if they had the ability all that time, would they make me jump through so many hoops, waste so much of my time and cost me so much to simply change my business travel date and they had no reply. For anyone who's used their service, you are already familiar with the average 2 hours it takes to speak with one of Travelocity's reps but if you ever need to change a flight, please insist they just apply your available credit to your next flight if they mention they will be sending a voucher. Or, better yet, use Expedia.

No Ethics at Travelocity

After stranding me and my wife in Manila, Philippines by voiding our tickets, Travelocity proceeded to take payment only to tell us that 'maybe' it would be returned in 30 days. It was impossible to contact them on their customer hot line and when I emailed them, they offered no explanation. The *** in their customer service department had the nerve to email me with the news they had voided our tickets and to thank me for allowing "...Travelocity to serve my traveling needs..." They are unethical and very adept at avoiding any responsibility for their screw-ups. I am disgusted at the way they totally misrepresent themselves and their service in TV advertising and I wish some consumer group would expose them for the charlatans they are! NEVER AGAIN.

Travelocity, how do you think they make money? By filling the planes at what ever costs necessary.

When 9/11 happened we received hundreds of calls from such people who booked with them and could not get ahold of a person to rebook or cancel. There is never a cheap fare, if it cheap to begin with it will end up costing you more!

Travelocity - 5 plane tickets-on stand by

Flying Boston to Cancun(stop over Atlanta) for family of 5. Arrive at airport 5AM, all tickets are on stand by. Travelocity never confirmed seats, after much fighting Boston and Atlanta finally made it. A passenger gave up her seat to us, only had 4 open seat left when arrived at Atlanta. Spend $30.00 making sure seats confirmed for trip back. Called travelocity when home spoke to someone who language was not english, even though name was Michael, no help, no money back no apology. NEVER USE THEM, I laugh when I see that BS commercial about there to help. If I see that little guy, I'll run over too like the commercial
