No Ethics at Travelocity

After stranding me and my wife in Manila, Philippines by voiding our tickets, Travelocity proceeded to take payment only to tell us that 'maybe' it would be returned in 30 days. It was impossible to contact them on their customer hot line and when I emailed them, they offered no explanation. The *** in their customer service department had the nerve to email me with the news they had voided our tickets and to thank me for allowing "...Travelocity to serve my traveling needs..." They are unethical and very adept at avoiding any responsibility for their screw-ups. I am disgusted at the way they totally misrepresent themselves and their service in TV advertising and I wish some consumer group would expose them for the charlatans they are! NEVER AGAIN.

Travelocity, how do you think they make money? By filling the planes at what ever costs necessary.

When 9/11 happened we received hundreds of calls from such people who booked with them and could not get ahold of a person to rebook or cancel. There is never a cheap fare, if it cheap to begin with it will end up costing you more!

Travelocity - 5 plane tickets-on stand by

Flying Boston to Cancun(stop over Atlanta) for family of 5. Arrive at airport 5AM, all tickets are on stand by. Travelocity never confirmed seats, after much fighting Boston and Atlanta finally made it. A passenger gave up her seat to us, only had 4 open seat left when arrived at Atlanta. Spend $30.00 making sure seats confirmed for trip back. Called travelocity when home spoke to someone who language was not english, even though name was Michael, no help, no money back no apology. NEVER USE THEM, I laugh when I see that BS commercial about there to help. If I see that little guy, I'll run over too like the commercial

Travelocity - Scam artists! - will never use again!

I booked a whole trip airlines and hotels through them, and they charged me an arm and a leg for hotel prices. I was looking online at the hotel's website, and their prices were cheaper online - if I had booked directly with the hotel. For the price Travelocity charged me - I should have gotten the hotel's top suite! When I got to the hotel - they gave me the lousiest room they had - apparently I found out that they can't tell how much you've spent with Travelocity so they give the lousiest rooms to ppl who buy through Travelocity - for the price I paid - I should have booked direct with the hotel and gotten my money's worth! I feel jipped!!!!

Travelocity Customer Service number in U.S.

After booking a trip to Greece in Business Class for over $7,000.00 and receiving my actual paper tickets, I received an email that my itinerary had changed. My new itinerary had put us on a flight leaving the island of Mykonos at 1:30 in the afternoon into Athens to make our connection back to NY. The only problem was that the flight for NY left Athens at noon so that wasn't going to work. After weeks and months of trying to get information from Travelocity regarding the cancellation and refund of my tickets - and continually being bounced to India where everyone can only read from the approved script, I've tracked down a number in the U.S. that will come in very handy for others frustrated with talking to India. Call Denise at 682-606-5431.

Call the airlines, THEY are the ones who change the flights not the website.

Forget it...

I filed a complaint with the BBB and all of a sudden Travelocity was calling me to help me with my complaint. The BBB was so helpful!

Travelocity Loses Your Information

A year ago, I had to cancel a family trip to Orlando. We had booked all our reservations through Travelocity and we had to cancel because of an emotionally stressful event that occurred with our son. At the time, I called Travelocity and was directed to an agent who helped me and who refunded our hotel fees, but not the airfare or the tickets into Universal Studios Orlando. They did offer credit on the airfare, however. Today I contacted them to get information on the credit and how would I use it, and discovered that all of our information regarding the trip had been reassigned to a different person including both the Trip ID number as well as the flight confirmation number! I spent nearly an hour on the phone with three agents in India, trying to locate the information just so I could determine how much credit I actually had left. It took threats of state and federal lawsuits (literally!) to finally get someone who understood what I needed, and even then I had to provide my entire credit card information (which left me uncomfortable). I will try to contact the trip insurance people to see if they may get me a refund of the money, but if not, I know that I will never use Travelocity again once I use up this credit.

Travelocity - Save yourself cell-phone minutes and a headache

ok, so I want to share the story of my Memorial Day weekend with everyone and maybe I will save someone the headache that I went through....Here's what happened in a nutshell....-I booked my airplane ticket for Vegas back in February through Travelocity. -I then received an email two weeks before my trip telling me that my flight back was landing in Myrtle Beach. Not LaGuardia like I had booked. -I obviously got cornered into cancelling my flight after 3 hours of being on the phone with Travelocity because I AM FROM JERSEY. Why in the world would they put me on a flight to Myrtle Beach????? and not contact me directly?? Thank goodness I check my email or else I would be stuck 710 miles from home right now! -After 3 to 4 more hours of arguing with Travelocity that this was their fault and they should be obligated to put me on a different flight with no extra cost to me, they finally gave in...or so I thought... -They told me that I was confirmed on a Jet Blue flight and they would pay the difference, because obviously by now flights cost about a grand, whereas I paid 400 dollars back on February. HERE'S THE BEST PART:I get to the airport. THERE'S NO RESERVATION. AND MY CONFIRMATION EMAIL WAS NOT VALID. Moral of the story:NEVER BOOK THROUGH TRAVELOCITY. THEY ARE *** For all of you that care whether or not I ever made it, I did. I booked the last ticket to Vegas directly throught Jet Blue for $700 more then I originally paid.

Don't go through Travelocity to book your ticket

I am on hold with Travelocity again (3rd person today) because they have not issued a ticket for me. I have an electronic receipt that says the ticket has been issued but they are telling me it hasn't been booked. I can barely understand anyone that I speak to over the phone and all they do is put me on hold while they "research" what is going on. I spent about 1.5 hours on the phone last week to reissue a ticket and thought this was all taken care of, but apparently they want to charge me more money to mail the tickets and use fedex in the process. Still on hold. I will NEVER go through them again. I think it is worth the extra cash to go directly through the airlines.

DON'T BOOK THROUGH TRAVELOCITY

My contract project was postponed for a week and I canceled my reservation 24 hr. in advance. GUESS WHAT!!!!! The crooks at Travelocity charged me for one night as I didn't cancel under their terms. I never had this happen before when I booked directly with a motel before and didn't expect it with TRAVELOCITY. I contacted TRAVELOCITY and told them that this sucked as it was beyond my control and did in good faith cancel 24 hr. prior to the reservation. Guess what -- the *** still haven't credited me and looks doubtful that they will ever. I later booked a room directly with the same motel for the same project when it did finally go and eneded up with a $5.00 lower rate than what TRAVELOCITY was giving me the first time.

Travelocity = Joke

My fiance was in South Carolina for Basic Training and Drill during Summer 2007 and his father, younger sister and I decided to visit him! The first time I flew out (with his mother and her boyfriend) I booked with Expedia (who did FABULOUS!) and after checking both Expedia and Travelocity I decided Travelocity had the better deal. So I booked the tickets and we counted down the days till we got to see him... The day before we were scheduled to fly out his father had a medical emergency that required immediate surgery and NO flying for at least 3 weeks (unless he wanted to lose his eyesight... Uh, no.) Called Travelocity to tell them of the issue and to reschedule tickets. I was told that because it was a medical emergency that I would have to pay $400 to reschedule the tickets, but I would receive my money back after doing some paperwork. Ok, sounds good to me! Rescheduled the tickets, waited the 3 weeks, and saw my fiance. After we returned I called Travelocity about receiving my $400 back, and I got the run around from person to person (which I had a hard time understanding most of them!) and I was finally told that I needed to fax them in writing what happened, doctors notes and that they would call me within a week after the decision was made. WHAT DECISION?? I was told I would get $400 back, and as a college student $400 is a LOT! Waited 6 weeks and still no call, so I called them. They had lost my paperwork or it had gotten misplaced, so finally they put it through. I received an email the next day saying they would not refund my $400 because it is Delta Airlines (the people we flew with) who had said no. So I called Delta... They said take it up with Travelocity. I am NEVER using Travelocity again.
