Travelocity - Price match guarantee not honored!

I have used Travelocity since 2015 but have never requested a Price Match Guarantee before. Apparently it is in name only. I have repeatedly sent the screen shot and even enlarged the text indicating that the hotel, dates, level of accommodation and terms for cancellation were identical to those of Travelocity. It's been 5 emails and one week later I have no resolution. I do however appreciate the opportunity to complete my online survey about your customer service!

User's recommendation:
Only book at the last minute and don't expect a reply from customer service

I booked a nonstop round trip to Phoenix AZ in October. When I printed the reservation the return flight had one stop. I immediately notified Travelocity and was told to file claim with the travel insurance upon my return. I did this and was turned down. I was able to book another return at different time I am out the cost of one return flight. I'm pissed

when I talked to you guys.you told me I would get a one hundred dollar voucher. Never received any email confirmation about this I do have an upcoming trip to Italy booked with you guys. This may be the last time I use your website. There are too many websites for travel to have to put up with nonsense like this.

Cancelled one minute after confirmation. Called and was told unknown why it was cancelled. Rebooked on phone and confirmation received then cancelled again. Hold wait time 1/2 hour! I have never had this problem before!

Not trying to make your experience harder but this was your mistake. If you messed up and did not read the terms and conditions you should take some responsibility.

You should have also read their policy as far as cancellations go they may have a no refund period policy.

When you called them it was a gamble of 50 50 they would give you a full refund and they did give you half of one which was nice of them considering they didn't owe you anything due to it being your mistake. I'd be happy with what I got an not complain about a mistake I made.

Details
Booked a flight that was cancelled by the airline forcing me to miss my connection and entire trip due to the schedule change. After contacting Travelocity and the airline on several different occasions and wasting time to do so I have been unable to even get a straight answer about a refund or any options going forward to recover even some of the price of the ticket. I was charged for a service, a flight to Washington, and was given only an 800 number to attempt to make a claim for my hard earned money after never receiving that service.

I gave them my daughter's flight itinerary and they pulled up the flight info. I wanted to fly back with her but it was not available, however, they told me that there was a flight one hour before her flight so I booked that. We discussed my husband being able to pick us up at airport at same time. Had a nice conversation. Due to death in family I did not realize that I had not received email confirmation within the 24 hours. I called Travelocity to ask about email and found out that they had booked me on a flight a month after my daughter's flight. They would not admit that they made an error. Plus, they charged my card for time spent on the phone while I tried to resolve problem. It was a nightmare and I paid dearly for that ticket.

Travelocity Trip Protection

I paid for trip protection with Travelocity when booking a flight to join my husband on a business trip. His business schedule changed and he had no issues canceling hotel and our return flight with Expedia. I on the other hand lost all my money because the trip protection only covers canceled trips due to death or illness (which has to be certified by a physician) after being submitted as a claim to a third party insurance company. Also, Frontier who I was flying with charged a $99 fee and the remaining balance was a credit only good for flight booked within next 90 days. I will never use Travelocity again!!

It's not Travelocity's fault that Hertz didn't have the car you reserved. You should have stood your ground.

If you had the Panda reserved, then Hertz has to either provide the Panda or an equivalent car at the same price. You can't blame Travelocity of you let Hertz talk you into an upsell. Did you call Travelocity from the Hertz counter?

When I've had problems with reservations made through Travelocity, they have always used their clout to make the provider honor the reservation.

All the other costs are either optional costs that you agreed to (Fuel pre-payment? Who the @#$% pays that instead of bringing the car back full?) or taxes and fees that are never included.

Travelocity - Cancelled flight through Spirit

Back on Dec. 22, 2015 I purchased 4 tickets for my family & myself for my sisters wedding in Fort Lauderdale. I received a confirmation # from Spirit & copied all my information down & forgot about it. When I tried to check in on the 3rd of May for our flight on the 4th I was unable. I tried calling Spirit to find out the problem. After 1 1/2 hours I was told the reservation was cancelled because Travelocity never forwarded them the funds. I was charged $584 on my VISA and the bill was paid back in Dec. You can imagine my panic when Spirit would not give me any help at all.( I have also filed a complaint with Spirit). I called Travelocity and they contacted Spirit to no avail. After another 1 1/2 hours on the phone with Travelocity we were able to find the reservation. With all this time & agony spent, Spirit had no seats available for a free charge so I had to pay $80 for seats both ways. Spirit did nothing to help in reinbursement of the $80 nor did they offer any compensation yet.(??) After returning home I called Travelocity & explained I wanted them to take responsibility for the $80 I had to pay. They were very reluctant but after 45min. & a conversation with a supervisor, I was given a credit for the $80. Possibly you have a contact to Spirit that has some power to compensate me for all my agony & stress. Travelocity let me down & Spirit even more so. This should not happen to anyone and I want the people at Travelocity to know how poorly they messed up.

I agree completely. TRAVELOCITY IS CRIMINAL and also enables criminal "Hotel owners" to rip-off travelers by keeping 1 nights booking,( or more), even if the hotels conditions are completely unacceptable.
