Travelocity - Travelsuckity

On Sunday My 8th I booked a one way flight to LA to visit a friend who was moving and I was going out to help. I have a lifetime of issues with migrants and allergies. And when they occur I am normally down for a couple days at a time. All I can do is to take my medicine and wait it out. So when I woke up on Tuesday May 10th I could not left my head from off of the pillow because of the headache. I called my neighbor who came over and was able to get me my meds. Knowing that this would probably go on for a couple days I decided that I could not make the flight to LA. I payed $22.oo for the insurance to cover in case I had to cancel. I have been a customer of Travelocity since 2009 and I have booked approx. a dozen flights with them. I have never had to cancel before. Minutes after cancelling the flight I did receive an email saying that I would receive a credit from United. Did not mention when that would be. So I waited until today, Friday May 13th before inquiring. I called them from my land line and spoke with a woman who spoke broken english and I'm assuming was at some call center in India. She told me that I had to call the insurance company to ask about the refund / credit. She put me on hold where I remained for the next 45 minutes. Not once did she come back on to apologize about the time it was taking to get me the information that I needed. So after about 30 minutes of being on hold I searched for the phone number for Travelocity. I clicked on Customer Service and then clicked on if I wanted a call back. Within about two minutes I received a call on my cell all the while I was still on hold on my landline. The woman who answered in my opinion was the same woman that had me on hold. Same voice and name. Of course after explaining to her how long I was on hold She apologized and asked me why I was calling. I explained why and then I get a *** and bull story how I had to improved a letter from a Dr. that I was sick. Except I did not see a Dr. I took my meds and by Thursday after my flight was scheduled to leave I was feeling better. She then said well if you do not have a letter than you will not be credited with a refund but that I have a credit with United for $307.60 but that United will deduct $200.00 from that amount and that it is good for one year. There is no such thing as customer service or customer support any more. Rather it should be called Screw the customer. I'm done with Travelocity / Expedia. Lesson learned.

Travelocity - Charged a No Show fee

Here we go again! Was told that my cancellation fee would be waived but now it has shown up on my credit card. Called and spoke with a Travelocity rep that stated the Wyndham Peachtree Hotel & Conference Center in Peachtree City Ga did not have the authority to waive the fee but that someone would call me in 24 hours to discuss a solution. 24 hours has come and gone and I am still waiting. $95+ later and still no refund or call. I would be out of business if I treated my customers this way. This is the second time that I have had to complain about the service and what is worse is that you have to speak to different people who barely speak English and explain everything again. Horrible customer service.

Travelocity - Hidden Change fees not communicated

They told me it was going to be $115 to change a flight that I needed to change per passenger. ($75 to Sun Country and $40 to Travelocity) plus the difference in the flight. So after coughing all that up to them, I noticed on my bank statement another $40 per passenger charge. So I called back and the guy told me it was a service charge. So I asked him what the other $40 per passenger charge was that I already paid, and he said a "change fee". One, I never gave authorization to pay the additional $80 and two he said that now that it's on my card there is nothing he can do to help me. And they just have terrible customer service and I told them that I was going to tell people not to use them. So here is me doing that. haha. sorry for the rant, but it makes me feel better after losing all that money

Travelocity - They charged my credit card twice and cancelled my flight with no refund

First, I am supposedly a Travelocity VIP customer. Ha. They charged my credit card twice and in the end, cancelled my flight and gave no refund. I called and emailed their overseas customer center and got no resolution and no answers. Today, I requested an American and got transferred to PA where they stated that the charges would remain and that the flight had actually been cancelled by their agent. Still, no refund. I am out the $688 original flight, a $240 change fee, and another $688 to purchase the flight from the airline. Thanks, Travelocity, for treating me like a VIP...NOT. Shameful.

Travelocity did not honor refund

I had a family member pass away which is a pretty good reason for missing my flight....let me also mention that I called Travelocity and the airline to let them know I wasn't going to be there, Travelocity promised to pay me back my 657.00 but then decided to keep the money....real class act Travelocity...I hope people read this and go to any other travel company.....these people are classless....if keeping my 657.00 is worth screwing a valued customer...then I hope you guys feel real good about yourselfs......beware Travelocity is a horrible place to do business.

Travelocity took my money and left me high-and-dry

I’ve traveled many, many times back and forth to the Republic of Armenia and Georgia, and broadly throughout Europe and the transcaucasus region, having family there. I live in the United States as a permanent resident, and have never had problems traveling there or about before, until this time. With my father suffering a stroke, and in an increasingly unstable condition, I booked travel through Travelocity, which connected me through two European cities, Frankfurt and Vienna, before continuing on to Yerevan, Armenia. Note in the process of completing my reservation, I did note to check my documents for visa requirements for my FINAL destination, which I did. So I arrive at the airport, bags in hand, with contingent plans at my destination with family and was turned away by the airline, and had my reservation canceled. I was directed to contact Travelocity, along with another group of travelers having the EXACT same issue having booked through Travelocity – apparently this is a consistent thing with people who have used their service. After two hours of back and forth at the airport, we try to field an independent solve with no help forthcoming from Travelocity customer service, and head back home. I continued the frustrating journey for answers the next day with their customer service team who had zero answers for me, and continue to switchboard me to new people in a maddening cycle of confusion, until I’m finally told there’s nothing they can do for me, and put me onto the airline who says they also can do nothing for me, other than provide me with credit contingent on a higher future ticket fee, plus a $340 change fee, plus adjustment in travel fare. To give you all a taste of what this actually means, I had them run a separate ticket fare using this credit and the additional dollar amount including change fee and adjusted fare for my destination was over $4000 – on top of my “credit.” So, so, so helpful. So my $1300 is a complete wash and I feel like my money was stolen. A quick search now reveals this is an issue many, many people have encountered, to similar ends. How hard would it be to put a system redundancy in place to alert travelers to intermediary transit visa issues like this, outside of obvious final destination visa issues? SO INFURIATING. If they abided by their “customer bill of rights” I’d at least have a solve or some clarity at hand – zero assistance. All this is to say, do not use Travelocity. I’ve now booked a separate ticket leaving tomorrow, and having alerted them to me being a permanent resident, they provided an itinerary with ONE European transit point, instead of two, thereby allowing me zero transit visa issues en route to my final destination. Only cost me an additional $1600. Steep price, but lesson learned. Be forewarned, do your research on Travelocity before you use their service. It may cost you much more in real terms, beyond the minor savings advertised in a direct fare comparison with other similar services. My advice – book with a service who has your best interests in mind and who care about you and your customer experience, not just your money.

I called the Travelocity once and the customer service take all the information and i told her we wanted to change flight. it took us 30 minutes when she realize she cant do it so she transferred me to another customer service, its already 40 minutes but only the automated machine answering the phone. i called up again and the customer service did the same thing so i tried to stay on the line. i found out it will take like 45 minutes to get hold again to a customer service who yelled at me. i mean wtf! we are just trying to change our flight and supposed to be they are well mannered than us. sorry to say they are INDIAN's. It took us another couple of 45 minutes just to get the total travel time. AND THEN i asked him HOW MUCH IS THE PRICE? THEY ARE TRYING TO RIPPED US UP more than double the price on the travel we got on first flight. We used to flight but we just tried this Travelocity and i should read the blog first and complaints on them before we booked travel. LOW CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HIGH RATE

Travelocity - Breakfast was not include even promisses hotel reservation!!!!

My friend suggested to check Travelocity for great deal of upcoming vacation to Hawaii. I checked the fright and hotel deal but, hotel's reservation was not 100% clear information which include with breakfast or not. I have 2 teenager so, I wanted to have it with hotel reservation. I called Travelocity reservation number, likely quick answered by agency name Adam. I reserved frights, it was good hour what we wanted it. When I started to check detail of hotel room reservation, I remind 2-3 times to check the hotel reservation was include breakfast to Agency Adam. He even called the hotel to double checked. He said, "YES, it is included!!! " since it was first time with travelcity reservation, I called hotel to check my reservation, it was not included breakfast!! I called back right away after reservation was made and got confirmation by email, took 30 minutes holding time. I emailed and called back next day, took 1 hour to get to the agency and customer service. It was very frustrated to even explain the problem to them. Do not reserve any trip from Travelocity!! I am very unhappy this company's customer care and professionalism. Usually, I do not want write any comments or complain but, this is worst experience!!!!

Travelocity - Cheaper isn't always better!

We planned to visit our parents in Phoenix over Christmas. We booked our flights in June which included non-stop flight there but a stop in San Fran before being able to return home to Vancouver. Sometime in October the flight from Phoenix to San Fran was cancelled. We were told we were emailed about the cancellation even though no email was received. Luckily we checked our schedule a few days before departing. Travelocity's Customer service was unable to help us as they claimed it was the airline's problem. The airline told us it was Travelocity's problem. To make a long story short we ended up canceling our entire trip and will NEVER use Travelocity again!

Travelocity - Customer Service Sucks

Travelocity's customer service just plain sucks. You call and get a telefarm in BFN India or somewhere. They simply pretend to listen to your issue and then put you on hold until you hang-up. I've called a few times an always get put on hold for 30 minutes or more. They play a ridiculously short and annoying loop of music that makes you want to put your phone on the curb and stomp it to death. They don't offer call backs and they simply don't care about their customers. I called to change a flight, big mistake. They never did fix the issue even after spending nearly 2 hours on and off hold and a even a convenient disconnect mixed in. I was able to fix everything myself by calling the airline directly, problem solved in about 15 minutes. I've learn my lesson.
