I booked a flight with Travelocity and received the confirmation and they charged my credit card. A few weeks later American Airlines changed my flights on me and so I called Travelocity on August 7th to find out my options.

After being on hold for almost 1/2 an hour and speaking with someone that spoke terrible English, I was told that I was entitled to a full refund and so I told them I would like to cancel and be refunded. The person told me I would receive my refund in 6-8 weeks. No confirmation email was sent from Travelocity about the cancellation!!!

On Oct 25th I realized I have not yet received the refund and called Travelocity. After several heated discussions with supervisors and managers I was told that Travelocity is not responsible for refunding my money, American Airlines failed to process the refund in August.

The American Airlines refund website tells me that I'm not entitled to the refund since the flights were in September and it's now October.

A Travelocity customer service manager said that they will re-request the refund but it's up to American Airlines to decide if I will ever be refunded the money. I asked for an email confirming my request to cancel in August and she told me they wouldn't send me such an email, apparently trying to cover up their mistake!!

PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!! TAKE YOUR MONEY AND LIE TO YOU ABOUT A REFUND YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE.
