Travelocity - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET

Travelocity rep booked flight incorrectly and after many many attempts to get it corrected ...that simply NEVER HAPPENED... Customer service is located in Central America.....not Texas! Was placed on hold for so long...calls got disconnected ..also was told to "call back in a couple of hours...computers are down"..... Had to book another flight and now having to dispute the charges they charged my account due to an error on THEIR PART... WORST COMPANY EVER.....DON'T EVER USE THEM TO BOOK ANYTHING EXCPET A HEADACHE!

Same pissed off husband as wrong booked flight.When my wife booked the flight back in august to st . martin ,she did so on line. The prices where clear. As she was booking on line she tried to pay for the trip and the site froze .So she called their direct customer service phone number and got an agent from traveloshity ,he replied and said he would take over the rest of the booking ,my wife said he had an accent from india, First Clue! BEWARE AMERICAN CONSUMER !!! He qouted higher prices than what she was seeing online,she said no no no i dont want that!CLUE NUMBER 2.so as she was talking to him she thought he manipulated the site and she was able to proceed booking.He was irritaded that she booked on line.Clue NUMBER THREE. He said he finished booking the flight and hotel.I believe he was trying to make a higher fee for himself and when he couldnt he sabotaged our trip!We will NEVER EVER EVER EVER BUY A PRODUCT OR SERVICE FROM ANY COMPANY THAT USES FOREIGN OR EVEN OUT OF STATE LABOR TO ACCOMIDATE THAT COMPANYS BOTTOM LINE PERIOD!!! my wife booked our dream vacation,6months ago and got what we thought would be a great vacation.we left our home in wisc.for first 2weeks in february and drove to florida for a mini vacation and then we where to fly to st. martin island in the carabean on feb 15 2016.we got to airport only to find they booked out of panama city panama not panama city florida! we are stuck!!! will cost another $600 to get there...Never AGAIN !!! Travelocity keeps delaying refund

We needed to make a flight change, which incurred a $400 charge by the airline. Since we had bought Travelocity Travel Insurance we were assured we would be reimbursed the charge within 5-7 days and have an e-mail confirm w/in 12-24 hours. Nothing. Have called Travelocity repeatedly on this same issue for the past month, each time excuses were made and we were promised an e-mail confirm w/in 24 hrs and refund w/in 5-7 days. On most recent call they told us that we had to seek refund from the airlines. We have contacted our credit card company to dispute the charge. Travelocity used to be good, but no more. I believe they were bought out by Expedia, which is no better.

Travelocity...Worst Customer Service ever!

I booked a flight via Travelocity and received an e-mail saying my reservation was canceled. 5 minutes later I received an e-mail saying my flight was confirmed. 5 minutes after that, confirmation was canceled. They did not return my $2200.00. After several frustrating calls they returned the flight cost, but kept $140 + with no explanation. Email correspondence results in a return message saying they cannot review my account due to security reasons and ask you to call their customer service number. Then they tell you they can't help you and that someone will call from another department within three hours. This, of course doesn't occur. Any attempt at follow up results in this vicious cycle. I have referred the matter to BBB, My credit card dispute dept and lawyer, this has become a matter of principle. Some may have had positive experiences with this company, but if anyone asked me to comment on my experience, I would advise them to seek out a root canal instead, its a more pleasant experience.

I had booked a trip for 4 including round-trip airfare and hotel to go to the Rose Bowl. When we showed up at the airport, we found out our flight had been cancelled by American Airlines (another terrible company) and could not be re-booked for 2 days, after the game would be over. We decided to cancel the whole trip. I called Travelocity immediately, and they did cancel the return flights, but despite multiple assurances from them, they did NOT cancel the hotel. It was a package deal. What kind of *** would cancel the flights but not the hotel? The first we knew of this was the next day when the hotel manager called our home wondering where we were. I called Travelocity and they insisted they had no documentation that I had asked the hotel reservation be cancelled, so I was responsible for paying for all 5 nights, 2 rooms each night. The total bill was almost $10,000. If they had cancelled the room when I asked them to, I would have only been responsible for one night, which is reasonable. We spoke to the hotel and they agreed with us that Travelocity was more interested in ripping people off than in actually being helpful. By not cancelling the room, they are able to keep my money and their commission. The hotel was much more helpful about reimbursing us than Travelocity. Will never use them again, and would warn anyone else to not use them. What a rip-off.

Travelocity - Flight Destination Changed - no notification!

Ticket bought from Travelocity 9-30-15. I was contacted 10-6 of a flight departure time change, which I agreed to. The email clearly states no change to "confirmed"status, nor a change to destination city. Sometime after that date the destination was changed to an airport 2 hours away. My 22 year old discovered this at 5:30AM when she checked in at the airport. Why weren't we notified? She isn't old enough to rent a car to drive the remaining two hours. Nothing but a run around from Travelocity and American, blaming each other. Hours and multiple calls led to no satisfaction. Complaints filed with both agencies as well as ABC News "The Fixer" and also Consumer Affairs.

I would like to start by saying travelocity is the worst travel agency I have ever come across. I booked a flight for my mother-in-law to travel business class from Manila Philippines to Halifax Canada. She arrived here no problem stay 1 year .but the return trip is a trip from ***, after about 10 different calls to travelocity each lasting between 3 and 6 hours with constant hang ups by travelocity we thought everything was ok finally. Boy were we wrong got to airport no tickets were issued even though we had an itinerary email to us saying all aspects of the trip were confirmed . Again call travelocity. From airport finally get a supervisor on the line hya liked to air canada employee and said he would take care of it and to Just hold well we held on right up to the time our flight left . So we paid 3,300 Canadian diollars for round trip ticket which include travel insurance and all we got was one way ... My advice to anybody thinking to book with travelocity is done they willtakeyour money fast and then *** you and leqve you stranded. I will see a lawyer tomorrow about this but do not use travelocity they are thieves I know I willtell everybody I can to stay away from these crooks ...

Travelocity - Waste of time

Now to make matters worse I found out that they actually put through my "pending transaction" so man times that a $1200 charge has become $14,0000!!! My credit card company said all they need is for them to call them to explain there was nothing booked & they will remove it right away instead of the 5-10 business days it can take, but Travelocity (whom I discovered is also Expedia) refused to do this for me as they have nothing on file for me since my transaction never ended up going through.

No tickets, no file history, no customer service, yet a $14,000 pending hold on my card I just have to somehow not stress while I wait for it to supposedly "don't worry ma'am, after a few business days the charge will just fade away & drop off the system".

Not sure how someone is supposed to not worry about $14,000 when all they had to do was make a simple phone call to which they responded "we just simply don't have the tools to do that"- what??? Worst customer service & travel plans experience of my life - NEVER TRUST TRAVELOCITY/EXPEDIA!!!

After literally over 2 hours of back & forth of being on hold & their employees having to keep coming back with a different higher price within the conversation, and being completely frustrated with the hold times and then when finally officially booking after all that they could NOT complete my reservation at all as they no longer had the flights available! At this point I was passed to a manager whom was very rude and refused to get me on any flights in a similar price range and said there was no way he could book me any flights now, especially since they had tried my credit card multiple times so there was now holds on my card with pending transaction for at least 3business days. So not only did they waste my time, they added stress to my day, jammed my cc cards & in the end I still had no vacation booked.

Travelocity - Numerous mistakes left us stranded twice!

I booked a flight for my wife and 3 children leaving Quito to Canada though Panama. Upon arriving at the airport in Quito, they were denied boarding since Travelocity had not modified the class of ticket when requested to do so a month earlier. The class being wrong, the airline was unable to issue a boarding pass. My family missed their flights while we were told repeatedly by Travelocity that it was one airline's fault or the other and being sent from one to the other to resolve. It turns out that it was Travelocity all along. Travelocity then "fixed" the problem by booking them on another flight the next day through Bogota instead of Panama. When they arrived in Bogota, Travelocity had not rebooked the onward flight so they were then stranded another whole day in Bogota. Avianca took pity on my wife since she got no resolution from Travelocity and took over the tickets from Travelocity and rebooked the correct flights for her themselves. A trip that should have taken 15 hours took 3 days due to the complete incompetence of Travelocity. My wife was stranded at the mercy of Travelocity to help (which they didn't), in a foreign country with 3 children. When you call to complain, they put you on hold for so long that you have to hang up - once was over 2 hours. Another call I finally spoke with a supervisor, then her supervisor, then her supervisor who scheduled me for a call back from a Manager. Needless to say, they never called.

Got us to our destination with no return seats! Travelocity sucks!

My wife and I recently (right now) flew to Champaign Ill. One flight from PDX to OHare then a 4hr layover that turned into a 6hr layover. Granted that was the airlines fault not Travelocity. Connector flight went fine. The return flight however we had no seats and you cant check'in and get your tickets without seats! So pay up or wait and see. What total ***. The airline wants us to pay more right now but if we wait there maybe some available tomorrow. Who likes to sleep with that on your mind? Nobody, that's who. In short, I will never use there service again and make sure I tell everyone I can how horrible there service was when we asked them to help us resolve the situation.

You have a ticket to fly from point x to point y. What you don't have is a boarding pass, which cannot be issued until the airline assigns you a seat.

Travelocity is a travel agency. They have no control over the assignment of seats, unless you pay for them. They make it clear that even if you request specific seats, that is only a request to the airlines and not guaranteed. Travelocity did nothing wrong.

The problem is that buying through a travel agency makes it harder to deal directly with the airlines. Next time, buy direct.

Travelocity is a FARCE!!!

Travelocity is the worst company I have dealt with in my life. My flight was cancelled, Travelocity never called to inform me, then I could not be rebooked on any other airline except United because they made an error in my reservation and gave me two codes. It took me over 30 hours to get back to the United States from Rome when my original flight was 16. I have contacted Travelocity on several occasions asking for compensation for such a disaster and I have been "disconnected" three times, hung up on, and told to drive to an airport and ask for someone by the name of Sandra for my compensation. No last name or phone number for Sandra. An obvious dead end. Then when you try to contact them by email they say they will respond in 48 hours which is a response just to tell you for "Security" reasons they can't respond by email and give you their 800 number. This is the biggest joke of a company. It is truly a disgrace that they can get away with this and the customer has no recourse.

Travelocity - Canceled flights

I had to change flights. I new it would cause me to be charged a $200 fee but I couldn't help the changes. So I booked a cheaper flight, so with the fair refund I was only charged $36. This all seemed great till 4 days before my flight when I received a noticed that my flights had been canceled. After calling travelocity, they claimed to have no control and pass me on to American Air.... Long hold, new tickets... Travelocity was no savings. Could have done it all on American and skipped the hassle. Will never use them again.
