Travelocity took our credit - $900.00 left my wife and son without hotel

Details
We are family of 3 and recently decided to go on vacation. My wife and my son had a credit, circa $450.00 each for unused flight with Travelocity. So, I called. No problem - I heard in the phone. But, I was told, Travelocity will have to split our reservation into 2 bookings. One group is me - with full price, and then my wife and son is the credit group. Soon, Travelocity charged me extremely high price for this ticket - around $200.00 more than the package was advertised. I called again. A different person answered (she was in Venezuela as turned out). I told her my story, then was put on hold for an hour, then transferred and disconnected. I called again and again with the same result. Travelocity Customer Service suggests (via-email) to go to United and buy 2 tickets for my wife and son. Being in desperation I did this. But my wife and my son do not have hotel. Only I do. And for Travelocity I am travelling alone - this is why they charged me $ 200.00 more for ticket and hotel. The credit we had with Travelocity is gone. The vacation package if bought without any credit would have cost us around $1,500, with credit so far almost 1,300 but my wife and son do not have hotel.

Left w/o food or Water by the travelocity nome

Went to cancun Mexico for my birthday arrived at hotel fine ready to drink and eat at my all inclusive hotel and yup you guessed it the hotel is not all inclusive. So my husband and I call Travelocity right away to try and fix the problem. I speak with the first gal for about 35 min trying to get my hotel switched to an all inclusive but according to them there was only one suite left for an additional charge of 2400 dollars what a joke so I was starting to get upset told her forget it my husband and I will just come home when was the next flight out her reply was sure we can get you home for another 225 dollars a person. I was just in shock so I asked to speak with a supervisor when supervisor comes on the phone she has no more options for me so I say well I guess I need to try and salvage my own vacation and ask about travelocity talking to the hotel for a food credit of some kind sure she says and puts me on hold now remember I'm about 1hr30min on the phone she comes back to the line starts to tell me something about a credit and the line goes dead !!! The hotel retries the call and hands the phone to my husband after talking briefly he is put on hold for the supervisor she comes back and tells him she is transferring him now then dead phone silence and then we gave up we had 400 dollars between us and the prices at this hotel are off the charts 20 US dollars for one hamburger and French fries.8 us for 1liter of water. Thank god it was beautiful but when do you ever come home from vacation having lost 5lb. Since coming home I have called Travelocity twice and both times I have got hung up on and I have sent a 5 page email and called the better business bureau. I want some type of response from this company I work hard for my money and when I spend it on a vacation I schould be able to enjoy it and trust that the company I use to book to help me when there is a problem. Is that to much to ask for

Think twice before using TRAVELOCITY!!!

I booked a vacation package to Las Vegas on Travelocity. I had to cancel the trip due to a death in the family. I was told that I could cancel the hotel and not be charged however they charged me for one day anyway which was $478.00. I called back and they said that I would be refunded the remainder of the hotel but I have yet to receive that amount and it has been over 2 weeks. Additionally I tried to use the airfare portion which was $593 per person and again I was given the run-around. I was sent to the travel vacation department who said they could not book and sent me back to customer service only to be sent back to the travel vacation department. I spent over two hours talking to different people and this still has not been resolved. The worst travel customer service experience ever!!! I will share will everyone that I know DO NOT PATRONIZE TRAVELOCITY!!!

First off, I tried to book this online and every time I put in all of the credit card info and passenger info, it would time out. I then called customer service and got stuck on the phone for 1 and 1/2 hours trying to figure it out. They told me that there was an...

the customer service was HORRIBLE, transferred and put on hold for over an hour just to be told by someone I could barely understand that they could not even give me a dollars credit on my canceled flight, and the added flight insurance is ***, you basically have to have a death certificate to file, what's the point of taking out the travel insurance, what a HUGE waste of money.. i will NEVER book with travelocity again... and I have to book flights for other people on a daily basis..

Travelocity - Ruined Vacations

I booked a Jamaica travel package thru Travelocity. Air was fine. Hotel was overbooked and we were not allowed to stay there for the 1st night. They sent us to a completely unsafe, horrible hotel for the night, which we opposed. We had to go find our own room for the night. Hotel said we would be refunded for that night by contacting Travelocity. Travelocity says no - we should have contacted them during our vacation (out of the country - without a phone in our room.) Garden view with 2 beds was booked. Received Parking lot view with 1 bed and an uncomfortable pull out couch with no bedding. Travelocity couldn't care less. Do Not Use Travelocity unless you want your vacation ruined.

Travelocity.com & Mexicana Airlines refund

I booked a vacation package thru travelocity.com and then Mexicana airlines went bankrupt. I received my refund for the hotel but since August 2010 have not received my refund from travelocity.com of the Mexicana airfaire. I keep calling almost every day and have sent emails to travelocity and have found out that they never started the refund process until only recently. They lied several times and have repeatedly said that I would receive a refund but still no refund and it's past the time I could get a refund thru my credit card. travelocity.com customer service agents and supervisors do not care that I paid for a vacation package thru them. They are not helpful nor do they care if I ever receive a refund. I will never use travelocity.com ever again because they do not stand behind their promises of helping customers!

only news I found out is to ask your bank for a charge-back. Don't know if it works, because I'm unable to use my account.

check it out
